Panasonic proclaims that the Lumix DMX-3D1 offers "a whole new experience capturing the moment in 2-D and 3-D."

Most of us have grown so tired of 3-D movies by now that we wouldn't even consider shooting 3-D photos when we're out and about. But Panasonic's putting out a shiny new 3-D-capable Lumix point-and-shoot camera anyway.
It's called the Panasonic Lumix DMX-3D1 and ? any disdain for all things 3-D aside???it's actually a pretty lovely little gadget. The camera has?two 25mm ultra-wide angle lenses with 4x optical zoom, two 12.1-megapixel 1/2.3-inch sensors, and?one very pocket-sized body.
The camera can capture?8-megapixel 3-D photos, 12-megapixel 2-D photos, and 1920 x 1080i HD video.
The Panasonic Lumix DMX-3D1 will set you back?$500. It should become available sometime in December.
