Every organization must have a scheme to work. Organization relies on committees to provide sound development of the organization. It is an agency in the organization?s development as well as success. To attain that success, USGBC set up various committees to separate tasks and focus on a particular issue in a certain committee. Every job should be planned, the major problem area being the target of the organization.?
To give you an idea on how USGBC runs their organization smoothly, here are several of those responsible for that, the USGBC Committee:

Board Committees
The board committees are responsible for conducting businesses for USGBC. They attend conferences every year to be sure that their missions and visions are being put into action. The board is also responsible for creating committees that could benefit the organization.?

According to USGBC laws, committees are legislated by the Executive Committee. It must also establish a Governance Committee, a Finance Committee and other committees if mandated. Members of the committees are assented by the Executive Committee. Every committee can work at for at least two years and can renew for two times.

Executive Committee
The role of an Executive Committee is to carry out Board laws, strategic and generative plans, policies and decision that must not conflict USGBC?s mission, vision and guiding principles. The Executive Committee supports the CEO and is also responsible for the decision making process throughout board meetings.?

The Executive Committees are the Chair, Chair-elect, Immediate Past Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and President/CEO.

Finance and Audit Committee
The Finance and Audit Committee manages the finance and auditing system of the organization. They also recommend and suggest guidelines that other members might need in the Council?s financial activities.

Governance Committee
The Governance Committee commands the organizations laws and policies and make sure that they are followed.

Ethics Panel
The ethics panel conserves the committee?s terms on policies and procedures, monitors the conflict of interest and establish a possible solution for the conflict. The panel?s responsibility is to determine the application to the converge on the committee?s procedures.?

Education Steering Committee
The Education steering committee adopts the course of action for education, research and other connected events. It has four committees that implement visions set up by the Steering Committee.?

The Education Steering Committee will include:
USGBC members representing key constituent perspectives
Respected leaders, strategic thinkers, and visionaries
Individuals with:
?Expert in green building particularly LEED
? Assorted market knowledge
? Specialist in delivering education approaches, adult learning strategies and new education systems.
? A background in how the business works, education, and quality assurance in terms of knowledge management.
? A formal education experience.

The Education Development and Training Committee (EDTC)
This committee is a group of constituent volunteers and staff in charge in commending LEED and green building education programs and resources. It also supports strategic goals of USGBC for a broader type of audience thereby fostering a culture for lifelong learning.

Education Review Committee (ERC)
The Education Review Committee (ERC) is a committee reporting to the Education Steering Committee. The Education Review Committee reports about issues about quality, delivery, best practices, marketing, and marketing practices. The ERC makes sure that USGBC approved courses are within the education standards of LEED.

Education Events Committee (EEC)
Reports to the Education Steering Committee the events, conferences, summits, and other education platform opportunities. The committee also advises related working groups to adopt green building practices in design, maintenance, and operation.

Research Advisory Committee (RAC)
The research advisory committee applies new research and new systems for the organization. This committee also reports for advanced strategies, counsel, and technical guidance to the Education Steering Committee.

Chapter Committees
The Chapter Committees develop and recommend policy and programs.

Chapter Steering Committee
Responsible for allowing chapter-related policies and recommendations to USGBC board of directors. Their working groups allot guidance to USGBC staff so programs are carried out.

Codes Committee
The Codes Committee discover hindrances in performance of green building and development. The committee does not debilitate the existing life safety goals of most building codes. But, a promotion to a deeper acknowledgement of the chances related with the built environment and to address all the responsibilities embodied in averting public health, safety and welfare relative to those hazards.
