Cancer researchers and educators from around the nation are gathering at Clark Atlanta University to discuss prostate cancer.
The seventh annual National Symposium on Prostate Cancer begins Sunday and ends Wednesday. Clark Atlanta's Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development is focused on researching cancer's effect on the African American community. The center targets that population through advocacy, community education and outreach with a particular focus on prostate cancer.
The conference's keynote speaker is Dr. Timothy C. Thompson of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
