Job Description Interim Substitute Teacher for Grades 2-5, early November through early February. Highly qualified, licensed elementary level teacher of students with special education needs. Substitute teacher will provide quality learning opportunities while maintaining a positive classroom climate that enables each student to master academic, functional, social and emotional curriculum appropriate to his/her age, grade and/or individual education plan.? ? Qualifications Wisconsin teaching licensure in Cross-Categorical Special Education; must demonstrate initiative and knowledge of current best practices in relation to curriculum and assessment, working with support staff, inclusion and least restrictive environment; experience with students with autism spectrum disorder, use of visual strategies and strong background with assistive technology and other adaptive curriculum and instructional practices; excel at interpersonal collegial relationships and model for others how to be effective with intensive needs; strong behavior management/modification skills are necessary; experience working in a comprehensive service delivery model and experience sharing delivery of services.? ?
